Are you still sitting on your stimulus checks, unsure about how to spend them? These are a few somewhat unconventional ideas I put together to make a meaningful investment with that money.

It’s nothing radical, but it’s not mindless consumerism. Besides, you probably don’t need another TV or a PS5.

While I’m directly referring to the stimulus checks many Americans got throughout the pandemic, these ideas apply to any amount of extra cash you’ve got lying around.

The Stimuli

Like many Americans, I’ve gotten several significant stimulus checks over the past year.

Before I go any further, I’ll admit that I’m in an extremely fortunate position. My job and income remained relatively stable throughout the pandemic, and I didn’t need those payments to cover my essentials.

We’re not behind on our rent, can afford decent food, and set aside an acceptable amount each month for retirement and investing.

But as I got those payments, I couldn’t help but imagine others in a similar position using those funds to increase consumption.
